Preserving letterpress printing history at the Lancaster Heritage Center Museum Print Shop in Lancaster County, PA
Our regular monthly meeting is Wednesday night, October 26th, beginning at 7 pm in the Jasper Yeates House located at 24 South Queen Street next to the Lancaster Newspaper’s Newseum. You will need to enter the Yeates House by the side entrance in the alley that runs behind the Pressroom. Parking is available either next to the Yeates House (free parking), in the Central Parking garage (tickets will be available to cover your cost) or on the street (meters not active after 5pm).
The first 15-20 minutes of the meeting will be devoted to Club business and updates about the museum and print shop. Please come prepared to sign-up for demonstration days in August.
During the next part of the meeting, we will have a presentation on some aspect of printing history to help make your demonstrations/presentations more meaningful.
Finally, we are asking you to bring something you printed or discovered printed by letterpress to share – a good old fashion “Show-N-Tell.
More details to come!
