Our next monthly meeting is Wednesday evening August 25th. The .918 Club will be hosting a Graphic Arts merit badge workshops for the Boy Scouts of the Pennsylvania Dutch Council. The workshop will run from 6 until 8:30 pm in the Yeates House and Lancaster Newspapers. The Yeates House is located at 24 South Queen Street next to the Lancaster Newspaper’s Newseum. You will need to enter the Yeates House by the side entrance in the alley that runs behind the Pressroom restaurant. Parking is available either next to the Yeates House or in the Central Parking Garage. If you park in the Central Parking Garage, save your ticket so it can be stamped to cover the cost of parking. Club member volunteers will be needed to help with the various activities that are the requirements for the completion of this merit badge. PLEASE RSVP IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE HELPING WITH THE MERIT BADGE WORKSHOP!
We will be holding our regular monthly club meeting immediately following the merit badge workshop. Please come to the meeting with your personal calendar so we can fill the demonstration days for September and beyond.
Please consider helping at this special event. As a reminder the Club meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
The members of the museum’s .918 Club will be hosting this workshop on one more Wednesday evening this summer. The workshop is free and promises to be fun! During the Summer of 2009, over 50 boys earned this merit badge at the workshops. If you would like to have the newest edition of the Graphic Arts Merit Badge Pamphlet, call the Scout Service Center, 717-394-4063, to reserve your copy.
