The .918 Club
Preserving letterpress printing history at the Lancaster Heritage Center Museum Print Shop in Lancaster County, PA
Over the last year and a half, Lancaster’s .918 Club, has grown in membership to over 35 active members, and dozens more supporting members. The Club operates the Print Shop at the Heritage Center Museum in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where it demonstrates letterpress printing as it was done in thousands of job shops across America 100 years ago.
The Club today announced that it will soon launch a new website, www.918club.org, featuring printing history and information about the exhibit, and will also serve as a communication hub for members of the club.
The .918 Club announces TypeHigh the mailing list for club members and others in the letterpress community.
While geared toward active members of the .918 Club, the list is open to other interested in letterpress printing, demonstration, and history of printing, particularly as it pertains to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
