The .918 Club
Preserving letterpress printing history at the Lancaster Heritage Center Museum Print Shop in Lancaster County, PA
Members of the .918 Club enjoy letterpress printing and share our rich printing history with visitors to the Heritage Center Museum. We welcome you to drop in on one of our meetings, held at 7PM on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Heritage Center Museum, 5 W. King Street, Lancaster PA. Visit our members page to learn more about what .918 club members do.
The Heritage Center Museum itself depends on the generous support of its members. Please consider the benefits of the Museum’s various membership levels.
Even if working in a turn of the century print shop doesn’t excite you, there are numerous other volunteer opportunities at both the Heritage Center Museum and Quilt and Textile Museum. If you are interested in supporting Lancaster history, culture, and tourism, these organizations are a great place to give your time.
Do you—or does someone you know—have older printing equipment or supplies that need a new home? We are always interested to hear about printing type and scrap type metal, supplies of paper and ink, as well as letterpress equipment like presses, type stands and cases, shop tools, and more. If you aren’t sure what you have? Ask us!.
