Street Fair
SATURDAY

This outdoor event is held on the street of the 300 block of North Queen Street, Lancaster, PA and will feature many vendors and suppliers of letterpress equipment, foundry type, cards, posters, broadsides, ephemera, and more. There will also be food trucks, live music and the unique shops of the 300 block will be open during the fair.
We will have a Printer’s Fair Beer & Food Garden.   Bring your ID you must be 21 years old or older.

Rebecca Blosser’s print work focuses on abstractions, idealizations and transitions of the built environment, the home and the natural world.

The Guild will remain open until 9 pm during the fair’s Friday night events on the 300 Block of North Queen St.

At Realm and Reason

Martin Mazorra’s recent body of work uses color woodcut botanical images and letterpress text that continues the Victorian tradition of the language of flowers.

Realm and Reason will remain open until 10 pm on September 20 during the fair’s Friday night events. They will host an after party reception following the event on the 300 Block of North Queen st.

Sincell Publishing Company

Bejamin Hinkle Sincell bought The Republican newspaper in Oakland, MD in 1890 at the age of 21. He founded the Sincell Publishing Company and operated the newspaper as well as a print shop for the next 50 years. His son, Donald Sincell, worked there as did Donald’s son Robert Sincell. Two of Robert’s children, Don and Mary Ruth, then carried on the business until 2017, when they sold the newspaper and ceased operations of the print shop. Mary Sincell McEwen and Don Sincell will be at the fair with a large collection of type fonts, lockup furniture, furniture racks, type cabinets, Lino-O-Type manuals and accessories, border fonts and cuts, some antique printed materials and more.

The Itinerant Printer

The Itinerant Printer will visit letterpress print shops across America producing unique prints at each venue culled from their idiosyncratic collections of wood type, metal type, cuts, ornaments, and polymer plates. These prints will be mailed back to followers and supporters of the project as postcards from the road.
